Twickenham Town Centre, along with Wembley Town Centre, host two international sports destinations – Wembley and Twickenham Stadiums, the first for football, the second for rugby.

Around the same time in the period 2010-2011, the London Boroughs of Brent (Wembley), Richmond (upon Thames), and Twickenham commissioned work by Colliers International’s Destination Development team to create town centre Place Brand strategies which were designed to lik with their adjcent stadiums. We led both the teams that worked on these projects.

This work contributed to reviews of the Local Development Frameworks, was the subject of consultation programmes and included the design of alternative scenarios for the future offer of the centres. To undertake this work, we developed the concept of “The Really Useful High Street” and an assessment tool to measure such places.
